East 10th Children & Youth Center is now hiring a Full-Time Early Childhood Educator to work in our Toddler Rooms! We are an Early Head Start Child Care Partner and a Level 4 Paths to Quality Provider on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis seeking passionate and energetic educators with strong communication skills to join our team.

Applicants will be responsible for providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences for the children and planning creative and engaging activities that promote the development of the whole child. Applicant will be responsible for providing a nurturing, clean and organized classroom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to provide a quality, caring, and supportive child care services to all families which includes addressing unique child care needs. Strong communication skills with children, parents, coworkers, and supervisors to build trust and a strong relationship. Ability to comply with all relevant regulatory codes. Able to change diapers, assist with meal,s and aid in toileting as needed. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible at all times and to all those you have contact with.

Physical Demands include:

• Classroom/Behavior Management

Please note that as a Team Member of the East Tenth United Methodist Children and Youth Center, you may be asked to perform small tasks other than those listed here.

High School Diploma or equivalency required. CDA, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
